This is the latest I have ever left it to write my blog, no excuses but what a week. As I have written in my previous blogs, I gave notice a month ago at the company I have been employed by for the past 6+ years. The start of the week started out as normal, but by the end I felt so different. I didn’t have any regrets with the decision I had made, as I do strongly believe in the universe and that one door must close for another to open, but I for the first time in a long time had such a strong sense of appreciation for the time and the effect I had left on the people I was saying goodbye too.
I had customers calling me to wish me the best on my new journey and to thank me for everything I had done for them over the years. I had colleague’s children coming into the workplace to say goodbye to me as they said they were going to miss me. And can I say Wow! I cannot believe all the beautiful flowers I received. It’s funny how you can see yourself in one way and others see you in a completely different light. I had no idea the people around me felt this way about me. I feel absolutely blessed and grateful for the experiences and the lessons these incredible people have taught me over the years and I am taking these lessons with me into my next chapter of my life. People treat you how you treat them and this week has been a fresh reminder of the person I am and the person I want to be and my goal is that, I want to inspire people, I want to motivate people, I want people to be happy and discover their best self and for them to live this life to their greatest potential.
I believe this week has reconfirmed that I am on the right path, it is a slow start, but you have to start somewhere and you need to do what makes you happy and the two keys to internal happiness is to GROW AND TO GIVE! If you are growing and developing into a better person, it creates happiness and if you are giving and helping a person and asking nothing in return, it has the same effect on your soul. Surround yourself with the kind of positive people that you want to be and you will thrive. Life is too short to hold on to grudges or things that no longer serve you. Never stop growing, learning or giving. Always be your best beautiful self and never stop shinning bright!
If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help it spread by emailing it to a friend or sharing it on Twitter or Facebook. Thank you!
