Hey Everyone,
I hope your week is off to a great start. This week I am talking about the fun we have when we are planning, whether it is a holiday, a special event or a project. Sometimes we get so caught up we end up looking past where we are currently at and can only see life as the end goal. I personally find that some of the best times of my life have been in the planning process, rather than the actual event. We can put so much stress on ourselves that we miss these moments and we think to ourselves, “we can only be happy once we have achieved that goal”.
This happens to us with all factors of our lives and we often miss these moments. Buying that new dress for your summer holiday and how excited you feel envisioning how great your holiday is going to be wearing it. Whether it’s finally deciding what plants are going to fit perfectly in your garden and that beautiful feeling of seeing how it is all going to slot into place.
Many times, for me, I have gone to a friend’s house and had pre-drinks before an event and had more fun in those hours getting ready, then I had at the actual event. I feel this with my writing, when I come up with a great idea and write that paragraph and read it back for the first time, I can feel myself smile from the inside and it’s so exhilarating.
I felt this with writing my first book, and now with writing my second. That feeling when I finally decide the structure of the book and can visualize in my mind from the beginning to the end and seeing how it’s going to flow brings me so much joy, it literally sparks the fire inside me.
It all comes back to being present in this moment. Enjoy the planning, appreciate the excitement and feed off all of the options and all different ideas available to you. Don’t postpone happiness, live it and relish in it every day.
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week, be true and kind to one another and please remember… Every day is a new day to try, you can quit your day job, just don’t ever give up on yourself or your dream.
If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help it spread by emailing it to a friend or sharing it on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Thank you!
