When you first tell someone you have written a book, the first thing they ask you is “what is it about”? The next question is “So when is the next book coming out?” and “are you writing a sequel”? After experiencing this, I now completely understand my friend’s reactions when they have just had a baby and they are still sitting in their hospital bed when their family members ask them when they are having their next child! The answer is yes and no, yes there is a second book in the making and no there will be no sequel. I have had a lot of people tell me they want to read more about Ella but I feel really strong about the ending and leaving her story in ‘Moore, Than a Pretty Face’ exactly where I did.
I have two new books in the works but have been currently working on one in particular. They are both psychological thrillers and I have come to realize I really like writing in this genre. I haven’t really mentioned this to many people as my first novel was originally produced from creative writing for myself and to reduce my stress. I really enjoy writing, it has quickly become one of my favorite things to do and that is why I don’t want to put pressure on myself with time or deadlines as I want to enjoy writing this book as much as I did the first.
Spoiler Alert!
The title is still unknown but it is a story about a woman named Molly who has been kidnapped by an infamous arms dealer and it is a story about her fight for survival to get back home to her family. That is all I will say about the plot as I like to keep these ideas close to my heart until I have completed them. I will say it is darker than the ‘Moore, Than a Pretty Face’ but Molly’s character and her strength is very likable and relatable and I am hoping you will enjoy it when I have finished writing it.
This book has taken longer to write but I have wanted to enjoy the whole publishing process with ‘Moore, Than a Pretty Face’, this book has been like my first child needing lots of nurturing and the constant feeling of being blessed as I watch it grow into something beautiful.
Please keep an eye out on social media as I will be posting over the next few months spoilers for you with my next release and please remember life is short, this is my book journey but whatever journey you are on in life, do or find whatever makes you happy and do it for yourself. At the end of the day having one special fan and keeping true to yourself is much more important than pleasing a room full of people.
If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help it spread by emailing it to a friend or sharing it on Twitter or Facebook. Thank you!
