Hey Everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start. This week I am talking about lifestyle and keeping true to yourself. I am always talking about these subjects because in this life, what is more important than staying true to your core self? It is also because it seems to be one of the hardest things to do. We are forever doing things for others, things we sometimes don’t want to do, and it all depends on the person and the relationship, in regards to how far we are willing to bend for others. It could be playing that sport for your parents even though you really like art, it could go back to wearing those clothes in school even though they didn’t suit, just so the popular girl or boy would think your cool or in adulthood sacrificing your family for a boss who doesn’t care about your existence.
Most people have a dream, or one can have many dreams. Some people work harder to achieve those goals, and others don’t seem to fuss if they reach them or not. It helps knowing that everything that happens to us in this life, always creates opportunities for self-growth. When you get knocked down you get up slightly stronger than the time before, you have changed, it may be only slight, but you have changed and it does mean, just like the seasons change really is inevitable. But what happens when you change into the person you always said you wouldn’t?
We all have beliefs, whether it is a belief of a form of religion, it could be personal standards, things you would never do as it could tarnish your reputation and for others theirs could be larger than life. Having beliefs gives us comfort, a trust in knowing that you did your best and that things will work out. Sometimes it can be hard to know where the line is drawn and to how far we go to accomplish those dreams and how far you bend for another person’s happiness. You must ask yourself what is really important? What do you believe is best for your long-term outcome and who is the person inside you can and can’t live without?
It often happens, people can try and control you, they live their life through you, restrict your abilities in believing that you are worthy of achieving those dreams. There is also self-sabotage that can limit your beliefs and visions. Maybe it’s there to protect you, in case when you take the risk you fall and get hurt. You need to know where your line is and never allow your light to dull or belittle yourself or anyone else to suit another person, because you have to live this life with that person in the reflection you see in the mirror, no one else does! Every other person has the opportunity to walk away from you at any time, everyone but you! So, make sure that person you see in that mirror is honouring your beliefs and you are being the best version of yourself you could possibly be. This world is full of fake, cheats and dishonest people, we need all the good we can get.
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend, be true and kind to one another and please remember… Every day is a new day to try, you can quit your day job, just don’t ever give up on yourself or your dream.
